  1. Place pork in a large saucepan. Add enough water to cover.
  2. Bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute. Drain well.
  3. Rinse saucepan. Add the water and all remaining ingredients to the pan. Stir to combine. Bring to the boil, stirring.
  4. Reduce heat to low.
  5. Add pork and cook slowly for one hour, or until tender.
