“This is really a great tasting meal and you can suit it to your tastes. While the recipe calls for 1/2 pound of Italian sausage, the butcher misunderstood me an gave me a pound (I used the mild sausage), so I put it all in. The recipe also calls for 2 tablespoons of chili powder, but since the meal was intended for someone having chemo, I reduced it to 1 teaspoon which was like adding none, I suppose. Yet it was a great tasting meal. When Mr. Food says, "Oooh, it's so good!" he means this Italian chili.”

  1. In a soup pot, cook chicken, sausage and onion over high heat 5-6 minutes,or until browned, stirring to break up sausage.
