  1. DO NOT use this recipe! Wish I had checked it against other recipes before making it. ALL other recipes for Mrs. F's Mac cookies have proportions like: 1 c butter/1 egg/ 2 1/4 c flour and NO oatmeal. I think oatmeal is a great addition but they NEED TO UP THE BUTTER, egg, etc for it to come out as a cookie. These were super-dry, horrible-textured golf balls that never spread out as they baked. (I've made the regular Mrs. F's choc chip cookies before, and that recipe also has oatmeal and it adds a great texture and flavor - in the right proportion.) Virtually inedible. Either this recipe must have been altered after the other reviews, or the other reviews are fake. Disastrous waste of $20 per pound macs - while I'm stuck home alone in COVID-19 quarantine (for exposure, I'm not sick but can't leave the house) for two more weeks, so this also used up precious flour, butter, eggs, etc. Checked all the measurements twice because I knew I only had one shot, and followed recipe to the letter. FIX THIS RECIPE OR TAKE IT DOWN. I'm pretty angry. A person needs a bit of treats under these harsh conditions and this recipe ruined mine.

  2. These cookies are wonderful. If you find them to flat add about a half cup of flour and coconut and that should do it. My mother is a fantastic baker and she always adds a 1/2 cup flour to her cookie recipes. If never fails Mom is always right it makes the difference from a flat cookie to a better cookie.

  3. Excellent cookie! I baked mine for 13 minutes and that is DS snitching his third cookie in an hour! So you could say we love 'em!! The only thing that I would change here is to match the order of the ingredients with the order they occur in the directions. Thanks hapynana for sharing. Made for Aus/NZ August Recipe Swap.

  4. Thick or thin who cares! It's the taste that counts and how many you can pop in your mouth :) We loved them and they will be a new favorite on our cookie trays this holiday season! Thanks for sharing!

  5. These were tasty! The only reason why there weren't 5 stars is that I wish they were a little thicker. A perfect, easy, tasty cookie.

I am a real estate agent along with my husband, Mike. I enjoy meeting people and helping them sell or find a home. I have been happily married for 27 years. We have 1 daugther and 3 grandsons. My favorite recipes are from Paula Deen. I love to cook and eat -- that is why I workout 5 to 6 times a week. I enjoy Bible study, cooking, working out at the gym and reading. My husband and I love spending time with our grandsons who live about 45 miles from us. We are quick to give Our Heavenly Father credit for all the wonderful blessings in our life. My pet peeves are greed and people who are always late. I love this site and it is so much fun. I have met many nice chefs while participating in the contests. I think it is unfair when chefs change an original recipe and then give a low rating. The way I will rate recipes: 5***** Delicious Recipes that we enjoyed and will want to have again and again. 4****Recipes that I would make again but make some changes. 3***Recipes that I would probably not try again without some major changes. I will not give a 1 or 2 rating as I know that the chefs that took time to enter the recipe felt it was deserving to share. I just have different tastes than them. <a href="http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Missymop/?action=view¤t=curriedcurrajongs.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Missymop/curriedcurrajongs.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/boronia.jpg"><img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/AussieRecipeSwap.gif"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PAC08Main.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/Cooking-Kangaroo-1-1.jpg"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PACfall08partic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w115/bugh8er/food%20and%20swaps/7016b640.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e110/flower753/Food/my3chefsnov2008.jpg"><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/AMpageSticker.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/CookathonforKarensticker.jpg"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/KBparticipation.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Ingredients/BANNERS/TagRed-STKR.jpg"><img src=http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii31/bleupantry/RecipeZaar%20and%20other%20Food/Top%20Favs%20of%202008%20GAME/ParticipationBanner.jpg><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"><img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b2/kiwidutch/my3chefs2009final-1.jpg">
