  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl and make a "well" (indentation) in the center.
  2. Pour the oil and hot water into the dry ingredients and mix to incorporate.
  3. Mix milk & eggs together in a separate bowl, then combine with the other ingredients.
  4. NOTE: The cake batter is more liquid than the batter from a box mix.
  5. Pour batter into a greased & floured cake pan (oblong, or two round pans) and bake 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
