  1. Brown hamburger and onion together in a large skillet, rinse and drain.
  2. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  3. Simmer 20 minutes.
  4. If mixture gets too thick add a little water.
  5. To cook in the crock pot, cook on high for 3 hours or low 5-6 hours.
