My Favorite Dorito Casserole

“There are a couple similar recipes posted but this is the one I always use...so quick and easy. It's simply one of my favorites. FYI if I use chicken, I usually buy the precooked rotisserie chicken and just shred it.”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb hamburger or 1 lb chicken
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (I use the reduced fat)
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup (I use the reduced fat)
  • 1 (10 ounce) can rotel (original or sometimes I use the hotter one depends on my mood)
  • 0.5 (12 ounce) bag nacho cheese flavor Doritos
  • 2 -3 green onions, chopped, i usually omit (optional)
  • Topping
  • 1 (8 ounce) bagshredded mexican cheese (use your own judgment, I like extra cheese)
  • 0.5 (12 ounce) bag nacho cheese flavor Doritos, finely crushed

Directions

  1. Brown and drain hamburger.
  2. Combine all ingredients except the topping ingredients. You may apply the Doritos whole, but I prefer slightly crushed.
  3. Put in a 9 x 13 pan or 2 quart casserole dish.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
  5. Remove and top with finely crushed chips and cheese bake for an addition 10 minutes.
