  • 1 12 cups apricot brandy
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 19 ounces sliced peaches, & juice mashed
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 19 ounces crushed pineapple in juice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 20 ounces maraschino cherries (cut up & juice)
  • 2 12 cups raisins
  • 4 (18 ounce) boxes Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix (Yellow or White)
  • 4 cups chopped nuts
  • 16 eggs
  • 1 12 cups oil

  • (Day 1) Use large glass covered bowl but not airtight needs to stay at room temperature. Mix Brandy,sugar, and peaches.
  • Stir every day for the next 10 days.
  • (Day 10) Add Sugar and crushed pineapple & juice.
  • Continue stirring every day for the next 10 days.
  • (Day 20) Add sugar, marachino cherries with juice and dry raisins.
  • Mix together & stir for the next 10 days.
  • (Day 30) Preperation and cooking of loaves.
  • Drain fruits from bowl. Leftover juice will give enough for 5 starters. Which must be used withing 2 days. Do not freeze juice, must be kept at room temperature.
  • Add 2 boxes of Betty Crocker "super Moist" cake to fruit in a large bowl.
  • Add chopped nuts. Stir well.
  • In another large bowl beat eggs and oil and 2 more cake mixes.
  • Add all together and mix well.
  • Pour into seven or 8 greased & floured aluminum loaf pans.
  • Cook in oven 325F 50 - 60 minutes or more.
