- 2 1⁄2 lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 celery ribs, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
- mushroom, drained (3 cans drained)
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 5 teaspoons chili powder
- 3 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons basil
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 4 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 8 cups water
- 8 ounces pasta
directions
- Brown hamburger with onion, mushrooms and garlic.
- During last 10 minutes add in celery and beans, so they dont get mushy before the chili is done.
- While this is cooking, in a seperate pot cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside.
- Remove from heat and drain hamburger mixture.
- Return to pan and add tomato paste, water, pasta, and spices.
- Heat through and enjoy!
- The garlic and onion powder can possibly be omitted if you use enough while cooking the meat. I didnt and that is why it is in there.
