My Mom's Apple Crisp

"I think everyone has their favorite way to prepare apple crisp, this is how I like it! I don't like added sugar with the apples, so the apples tend to be a bit drier than with other crisp recipes. The topping has more oats that many other recipes."

  1. My husband won't eat any other apple crisp! I love the way the apples stay crunchy! I've now passed the recipe around to all my family. No changes needed!

I'm a stay at home mom of 2 beautiful girls, 4 years and 1 year. My favorite cookbooks are King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking and RecipeZaar! I find that most of my free time is spent cooking or looking for new recipes to try. I'm on a mission to eliminate high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils from my diet and add more whole grains. In 8 months, I've lost 15 pounds by making these simple changes. I wany my girls to grow up making healthy food choices, without feeling like they're missing out on something. <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket">
