My Mom's Graham Cracker Chicken Drumsticks

"This is the only way my mom ever made coated and baked chicken legs. I'm sure you can use other chicken pieces too. They are also good cold."

  1. This was awesome!! We used a whole cut up chicken and it turned out great! We also used the honey graham crackers and we all loved the little sweetness the honey added. I loved how well the crumbs stuck to the chicken, maybe the butter helped too but that was a huge plus in my book. The only change I'll make is to cook this on a rack the next time...the chicken was so juicy that the juice oozed out and the chicken sat in the juice and got a little mushy on the bottom. Thanks for a wonderful recipe Marg!!

  2. I agree that this is too sweet. Not the kind of sweet you want to mix with chicken. I had to throw it all away, my kids would not even eat it. The graham taste soaked into the chicken and ruined the chicken flavor.

  3. This recipe sounded so interesting that I had to try it! I'm sorry to say though that I just didn't care for it. The chicken itself was juicy and delicious and the cook temp/time was spot on. I just didn't care for the graham cracker coating. It looked beautiful but was just too sweet for me. Glad I tried it though. Thanks for posting!

  4. This WAS REALLY GOOD! I ate like 4 legs though it was kinda sweet. If you wanna eat more then use plain crackers. I think the sweetness got to me after a while but its was very good! Thanks

  5. I'm not really sure what to say about this one...it was definitely interesting! I used plain graham cracker crumbs, and while the chicken didn't taste bad - not at all - I'm not sure if I really liked it or not. I should also note that I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts instead, and baked at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.
