My Spanish Rice
"A recipe of mine I turn back to quite often. I love the flavor of it and it doesn't take very long to put together. And only one pot to wash. I can sit and just eat a plate of this."

- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup onion (Chopped)
- 1⁄3 cup green pepper (Chopped)
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 1⁄3 cups Minute Rice
directions
- Bring everything but rice to a boil.
- Stir in rice and cover. Take off heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir before serving.

We enjoyed this dish. It was very easy to put together. It reminded me of this spanish rice my Mom used to buy in a can when I was a kid. I really liked that, & this tastes very similar. Brought back nice memories : ) Made for Slide into Sides Event 2009 in the Photo Forum
