My Uncle's Soy Sauce Salad Dressing

"Very similar to a Chinese chicken salad dressing with the added ingredient of soy sauce. I love this dressing and it goes well with a green salad with chopped tomatoes and sliced cucumbers."

  1. I tried that but not adding sugar on it. It was very delicious. Thanks to you and your uncle!

  2. This is simply delicious. I paired it with a delicious Asian chopped salad. MMMMM.....so good! Thanks for posting.

  3. Absolutely amazing! This dressing is perfect for pretty much ANY salad. I was surprised that the sugar didn't make it seem too sweet. I used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic and it was still great. Thank you to your Uncle Roy for sharing this recipe :)

  4. (6-18-10) OMG! I don't believe I NEVER rated this! I was just about to print this again to make the dressing for tonight's dinner, and I noticed my error. I AM SOOOO SORRY. THIS IS DEFINITELY FIVE STARS IN MY BOOK. I am so glad I tagged this recipe for New Kids on the Block tag game. This salad dressing is so smooth, light, and unobtrusive. Really compliments the tossed salad. I'm surprised, though, at the ingredients listed here, because when I tagged it this morning it called for WHITE vinegar, and no sesame oil. So that is how I prepared it, and I was not disappointed. I'm sure this version will also NOT disappoint! Will definitely make again. Frankly, I'm thinking it just may replace the same-old, same-old Italian dressing(s) I have used for a hundred years. Thanks, Phammy for posting.
