ingredients
- 118.29 ml shortening
- 473.18 ml sugar
- 2 eggs
- 9.85 ml vanilla
- 473.18 ml flour
- 4.92 ml baking soda
- 4.92 ml baking powder
- 4.92 ml salt
- 4.92 ml cinnamon
- 4.92 ml nutmeg or 4.92 ml mace
- 4.92 ml ginger
- 1419.54 ml peeled diced tart apples
directions
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Stir in apples. Spoon into greased 11 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.

Yum! I cut this recipe in half since there is just the two of us, put it in an 8x8 and baked for 45-50 mins.. tasted like the boxed mix, from what I remember. It has been a while since it is a splurge for the real thing. Will definately make again! Thanks for sharing!
