Nannys Chocolate Pie 5 Star Family Favorite

"This is one of the many recipes from my grandmothers cookbook. She passed away in May of 2005 and I am recording her wonderful recipes for my family and the many generations that will follow. I hope you enjoy her recipes as much as we do. I have not made each one yet-so cooking time and servings may vary. Blessings from FOURMRANCHWIFE in Texas"

  1. Cooked what seemed like forever...it thickened, but when I sliced it it was still runny. Please advise.

  1. SO GOOD! I'm embarrassed to say I had a piece for breakfast the next day. The taste is divine. Edited to say that I made this again last night for hubby's birthday party and all the guests raved about it. This really is the perfect pie! I only keep low-fat milk in the fridge, so I added 2 T of cream. Also, I doubled the vanilla, on accident the first time but every time now since it tastes so good. Also, I make it in the microwave, stirring every 1-2 minutes. Thanks for posting your treasured family recipe Stacey, it's a true 5 star keeper. Please see my rating system as a 5 star rating from me is rare.
