Nanny's Comfort Green Beans

- 2 (16 ounce) cans green beans
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 onion, chopped or diced
- water
- 1 piece fat
directions
- Drain one can of green beans completely. Then drain almost all of the other can, but reserve some for flavor. Put beans into pot and cover with water. Add onion, fat, and sugar. Cook on low/med-low for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, depending on how soft you like your beans. Remember to stir occasionally!

I'm a stay at home mom of 3; my hubby works over the road so whenever he comes home I like the idea of trying new recipes...notice I said "the idea" lol...haven't done it that much but hopefully I can start with some good ideas from here!
