Nannys Spaghetti Sauce 5 Star Family Favorite

"This is one of the many recipes from my grandmother's cookbook. She passed away in May of 2005 and I am recording her wonderful recipes for my family and the many generations that will follow. I hope you enjoy her recipes as much as we do. I have not made each one yet-so cooking time and servings may not be posted on some. Five Star Family Favorite !"

  2. Excellent sauce! We had it with linguine, and I used the leftovers over Spaghetti squash. We loved it both ways! I am going to make more and freeze it for when we feel like Sketti again!

  3. Made this again and wanted to re-review. I left out the green pepper this time and we liked it alot. Very meay and flavorful! I served it over Penne pasta. Thanks!

  4. Amazing! This was so good. My house smelled awesome while this was in the crock pot! So simple and easy. All I had to do later was cook some pasta and toss a salad and dinner was ready. We loved this very different sauce. Not too 'tomatoey' and very nicely seasoned. LOVE that it is fresh and not from a jar. I used home canned tomatoes and ground turkey rather than ground beef. That was the only change I made. Fantastic meal Stacey and Nanny!

  5. I really enjoyed this sauce, although my husband thought it was on the sweet side. Still more robust and flavorful than store-bought (and almost as easy as just opening a jar)! Thanks for sharing Nanny's recipes--I plan on trying others if they are as tasty as this one was.
