- Combine cranberries, walnuts and 1/2 c sugar. Spread evenly into a 10" pie plate or springform pan.
- Combine remaining sugar with remaining ingredients; beat until smooth. Pour over cranberries and walnuts in pie plate.
- Bake in preheated 350F oven for 40 minutes.

I got this recipe from a friend many years ago, and it's become a family favorite. I make it every Thanksgiving, and my son also requests this for his birthday instead of a cake. I leave the cranberries whole rather than chopping, and my recipe says that it's best to freeze the berries first, so I always have. It's so yummy served warm, with a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!!
