  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 14 cup breadcrumbs, fresh preferred
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt, Hy's preferred
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 3 egg whites (or 1 egg)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

directions

  • Mix all ingredients (by hand of course!).
  • Roll equally into 16 meatballs.
  • In a cold, large saucepan, add meatballs.
  • Turn heat to medium and toss pan gently so meatballs aren't 'square-ish'.
  • Cook and continue to roll around meatballs until cooked through.
  • Use in spaghetti sauce or add mushroom soup and pour over rice or noodles.

  1. I'm not sure you could write a better review than the title of this recipe. This is a basic meatball recipe that can be tweaked as you will, and tastes wonderful. We added some dried onion and garlic, and put the browned meatballs into spaghetti sauce. They were splendid. Thanks for posting!
