ingredients

¹⁄₄ cup ketchup
¹⁄₄ cup brown sugar
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
¹⁄₄ cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons Bourbon
¹⁄₂ lb cocktail franks

directions

Combine all ingredients except cocktail wieners and place in crock-pot.
Stir wieners into sauce mixture.
over and heat 1 hour on HIGH.
Remove cover and heat an additional hour.

These were SO GOOD! The bourbon gave them a nice mellow buttery flavor without any hint of alcohol at all. The sauce was nice and tangy, too. These will make great appetizers for any party. I think they would be nice set out on a platter with thin pretzel sticks stuck into them instead of toothpicks for a totally eatable appetizer. Thanks for the great recipe, Papergoddess!

Made this for a grad. party yesterday. So easy, threw it together in 5 mins. and kept it warm the whole night in a crockpot. Delicious! FIVE STARS! Thanks so much!

I bought two lbs of dogs and all of them were eaten, although I had to do the first batch with 1 1/12 lbs because they wouldn't all fit in the mini crock pot. Later in the evening I added the last half pound. These were extemely popular and it was easy to just eyeball the amounts for the ingredients. I used whiskey instead of bourbon.

really, really good! i tripled the recipe (to fill a small crockpot) and they were the first things to be licked "CLEAN" at our Halloween party.
