  • Remove from heat and stir in the peanutbutter, oats, vanilla and salt.
  • Working quickly, drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and let set at room temperature until firm.

  1. These are always a hit at my place. Very addictive!

  2. I felt like Lucille Ball on the chocolate production line, as I was trying to get the mixture on to the cookie sheets before it hardened up! These taste wonderful, the kids loved them and the chocolate/peanut flavour was delicious. Thankyou.

  3. Kids and adults love these cookies. I served them to 25 kids and 3 teachers. One teacher said it reminded her of her childhood, and asked for the recipe. Thanks for posting this!

  4. I've been making these since I was 8. They're so yummy! Since I've gotten older, I've adjusted things to make them more healthy. I started using skim milk, using half the sugar, replacing some of the oatmeal with wheat germ, leaving out the butter (as the peanut butter adds enough fat). They do taste a little different, but I think that makes them healthy enough to eat whenever I have a chocolate/peanut butter craving (which is frequent) without feeling an ounce of guilt.
