"A friend made these, and I just loved them and had to have her recipe. She brought me the cookbook and the only thing I wasn't sure about was the coconut because it's not listed in the ingredients. This looks like a recip you can play with though. Serving size is estimated."

ingredients

2 cups sugar
¹⁄₄ cup cocoa
¹⁄₂ cup milk
¹⁄₂ cup butter
¹⁄₂ cup peanut butter
¹⁄₃ cup nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick oatmeal

directions

Cream sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter together.
Bring to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute.
Put other ingredients in a bowl beforehand and have ready to pour syrup over.
Pour syrup in bowl.
Add coconut if desired.
Mix well and drop on well-greased wax paper.
