"A delicious and easy no-baking involved wintertime dessert. Everything just whips together with your mixer and gets thrown into the freezer. Or, this can also be a great way to use up those candy canes after Christmas. Garnish right before serving."

  1. I made this with local, red, cinnamon candies and it was very good. A bit too sweet for my liking - I think the condensed milk with the candies would have been more than enough, and next time, I'll omit the sugar in the crust.

  2. I made this for the first time for Christmas Dinner 2013 and it got rave reviews. I liked that it can go straight from the freezer to the plate. There was plenty of peppermint yumminess and the whipping cream made it light and fluffy. My crust crumbs were a bit dry and did not stick together very well. I will keep an eye on this the next time I make this. There will definitely be a next time. Thanks so much for posting!

  3. This is a must with my Christmas dinner. I have been making it for years; I originally found the recipe in Southern Living.

  4. I found this recipe on the www.recipe4living.com website. They have it listed as one of their top 10 recipes to use up those leftover candy canes! :-) The website also states: "This cake is so easy to make and is always a big success! A fun treat during the summer when everyone craves something cool." Thanks for posting!

  5. What soothing dessert to end a heavy meal! Easy to make and very tasty! I used aluminum cupcake holders to make individual servings and ended up with 2 dozen. Great recipe! Thanks!
