  • 5 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 lb lard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (10 ounce) can 7-up, diet versions of other pop will not work

directions

  • Mix all ingredients together and roll out on well floured board.
  • Press into pie plate and bake at 350F or fill with pie filling.

  1. I have never been able to make pastry, even the never fail recipes failed on me.This pastry worked!! Yea!!! The only thing I found that it says it is enough for a bottom and top crust. It turns out too thick(for me anyway) if you just divide it for two crusts.Not sure how far it would go rolled to a proper thickness..have to do some testing.Told my boss about it, and she thought it sounded strange, but decided to try it, and she liked it too.
