No-Fail Biscuits

"I mean no FAIL, even I can make biscuts now... this eluded me before.. all I could make were hockey puck biscuts.. lol This recipe was given to me by a dear friend..."

  • Mix flour, sugar, bk powder, cream of tartar, salt and soda in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Then add shortening by hand and then milk.
  • Knead well. Cut out ( I use a small tomatoe paste can with bottom cut out) and place on greased cookie sheet ( I use partchment paper or stone).
  • Bake at 400 for 20 minutes ( sometimes on a hot day will only be 15 minutes).
  • I have used my kitchenaid mixer with dough hook and they have turned out ok.

  1. I had to knead in about 1/2 -3/4 cup of flour since the dough was very wet. These were a very tasty light bisquits. It makes alot. I made 15 and still have dough in the fridge to probably make another 10 0r more LOL Will make again Made for PAC Fall 09

So many recipes.. So little time !!! The main picture you see is of my favourite place on earth.. Our family cottage... it is where I go to recharge my batteries I learned to enjoy cooking at an early age from both of my Grandmothers so I was very lucky.... I miss them both very much and when I cook I think of them....
