  1. Very good!!! Although it did have a jello flavor it was worth the low cals. Next time I will add more strawberries. If you're worried about cooking aspartame I found a diet soda with Splenda called Hansen's. I used the Tangerine Lime flavor.

  2. My dad enjoyed this jam a lot and it was so easy to make. I tasted it before placing in the fridge to set and it was really good. Nice fresh strawberry flavor even though I used frozen sliced strawberries. The jam sets up well but it is almost like jello. Smashing with a fork before using it on toast would do the trick and look like jam. Thank you Mizz Nezz for posting this recipe!

  3. Worked very well! Very easy, and result was delicious. Especially for the low calorie content, I'll definitely be making this jam again. What's even better is that it actually set! (A lot of low-sugar or sugar-free jams refuse to set properly). Great recipe!

  4. This is exactly the recipe I was looking for. Diet 7-up is now made with Splenda so it's perfect. It not only is low carb, it tastes great!

  5. This cannot possibly work. Diet 7-Up is now sweetened with aspartame, which breaks down when heated. While much older versions used saccharine, which is stable, this is no longer the case. The resulting jam will have no sweetener at all and be badly unbalanced, possibly even bitter.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
