“This is for all, like myself, who don't use any kind of alcohol, but want the flavor in some of our recipes. And, NO, it doesn't always cook off; only if you flame it. And that only takes it down to 75%. Baking or simmering 15 min takes it down to 40%; baking or simmering 2 hours 30 minutes takes it down to 5%. This is according to the US Dept of Agriculture. Cooking times are approximate, according to recipe.”

Directions

  1. When adding to sauces or stews, if the recipe calls for a dark colored wine, use either purple or red grape juice and 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Red Wine Vinegar, depending how much "wine" is calls for. Usually 1/2 to 1 cup of "wine".
  2. When it calls for white wine, use the White Grape Juice and the same amount of White Wine Vinegar.
  3. The flavor will be very similar to using wines, but without the alcohol.
