“I was so surprised when I did not see this already posted. My granddaughter had it for lunch at my house and later looked at this site and asked why I didn't have it posted. Yeah, why didn't I? **I have not found pot cheese in regular supermarkets, just specialty stores. If you cannot get it, use a cottage cheese that is as dry as possible.”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 12 lb egg noodles
  • 1 12 cups pot cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 teaspoon salt (optional)

Directions

  1. Boil noodles until just tender.
  2. Drain, do not rinse.
  3. Return to cooking, off the heat, and add butter.
  4. Add pot cheese and salt. Mix gently but completely. You can also return noodles to pot and brown them before mix with cheese. If you do this, increase butter by one more tablespoon.
