  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease and flour a 13 x9 baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar. Set Aside.
  • In a saucepan, bring 2 sticks butter, 4 TBSP Cocoa, and 1 cup water to a boil.
  • Pour over flour and sugar mixture.
  • Add in 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, 2tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp vanilla.
  • Pour into greased and floured baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.
  • While baking, mix together the following:.
  • 1 stick softened butter, 4 TBSP cocoa powder, 6 TBSP milk, 4 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 2/3 cup chopped pecans.
  • As soon as cake is out of oven, spread frosting over cake.
