Dough
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sweet unsalted butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 whole egg

Filling
- 6 egg yolks
- 5 egg whites
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1 3⁄4 cups walnuts
- 2 ounces German sweet chocolate, ground
- 1⁄2 cup raisins
directions
- Knead ingredients for dough together.
- Cut in half--one half for bottom and one half for top.
- Press half for bottom in bottom of 13x9-inch pan.

Filling:
- Mix egg yolks with sugar in mixer until creamy and smooth.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Grind walnuts.
- Fold nuts in egg yolks and sugar, add chocolate and 1/2 cup raisins.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Spread on bottom dough and cover with second portion of dough.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes and then check and adjust time.
- Cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
