Nutella Fudge Bonbons

"These look so delicious. I can't wait to try them. Found this recipe at stolenmomentscooking.com. I am assuming the chocolate chips are of the semi-sweet variety and guessing the number of servings. The author said you can replace the nutella with peanut butter if desired."

directions

• Melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat in a sauce pan, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
• Remove from heat once fully melted and stir in 2 T. nutella.
• Add sweetened, condensed milk and vanilla. Stir until combined.
• Add flour a 1/2 Cup at a time until fully incorporated. (If it gets to hard to stir together in the pot, pour onto parchment paper or aluminum foil and knead until combined.)
• The finished dough should be very pliable, almost like a play-doh consistency.
• Take about a tablespoon of dough and flatten.
• Spoon some nutella into the center and form dough around it, rolling into a ball.
• Repeat until done.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Cool.
• Meanwhile, stir together powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
• Add milk gradually until desired drizzling consistency is reached.
• Spoon icing over the cooled bonbons and decorate as desired.
• Let icing harden completely before storing.

1. I made these cookies to go along with many Christmas cookies that my sister and I baked. I was looking for a Nutella cookie recipe because I recently bought a 2-pack at Costco, and needed a more practical way to consume it other than eating it straight out of the jar. I made this recipe a few days ago, and not only were they the most unusual recipe I have ever seen, but also the most delicious chocolate cookies I've tasted in a while! The nutella in the center wasn't particularly noticable (it may have baked into the dough so there was no obvious filling), but it has an amazing taste and my Dad, who is a self-professed "Chocolate Purist" absolutely loved them. I'm definitely going to make these again!

I'm 23 years old and I live in Trinidad. One of the islands in the Caribbean. I love baking and have a major sweet tooth but I am trying to cook more savoury foods and I am enjoying trying new recipes. Recently I have come to love photographing the food I make. Too bad they don't all come out photo worthy, but at least they still taste good! lol
