Nutty Cream Cheese Cake

ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 4 egg yolks
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 teaspoon rum extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 egg whites, beaten stiffly
directions
- Have butter, eggs, cream cheese and milk at room temp.
- Cream butter, sugar and cream cheese together, add egg yolks, flavorings, water and buttermilk.
- Sift all dry ingredients together and add to mixture.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Bake in three 8" pans lined with wax paper (bottoms only) 350* for 40 min.
- NOTES: Frost with"Cream Cheese with Buttered Pecan Frosting".
