ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats (not quick)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1⁄2 cup wheat bran
- 1⁄3 cup Splenda sugar substitute
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄2 cup margarine, softened
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
directions
- Combine all of the dry ingredients.
- Add margarine to the dry mixture until crumbly. Melting the margarine helps.
- Add egg, vanilla, and water. Form into a dough.
- Divide the dough into 16 bars, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake at 350F for 15 minutes on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes.
