  • In large bowl, pour water over oatmeal.
  • Let stand 20 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix butter, sugars, eggs, Add flour, cinnamon, salt, soda and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Mix and add oatmeal.
  • Do not add more water.
  • Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan at 325* for 25-30 minutes .
  • When done, let cool in oven.
  • Mix all topping ingredients.
  • Pour over top of cake, let bubble in warm oven.
  • Watch close so it doesn't burn.
