  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Cream butter and sugars.
  3. Beat in the corn syrup, eggs, applesauce, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add combined flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Stir in the oats and raisins.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges just begin to brown and the middle isn't wet.
  8. Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
