  1. nice cookies. I roasted the sunflower seeds before use. A tiny amount of water was necessary to form the balls of 1" diameter. Used about 5 ml water. The whole mass was quite sticky, but is was possible to form the balls. Some of the raisins (only a small part) could not be included in the balls. The 1" balls resulted in exactly 18 cookies as mentioned under serves: i.e. 18. But also is mentioned: yield: 36 cookies. Don't understand this. The cooking temperature was changed during the baking as well as the time. First batch: 150 C 15 min + 2 min extra + 7 min at 170 C SEcond batch: 15 min at 170 C + 9 min extra at 170 C. I measured the quantities also in grams: oats: 1 1/4 cup = ~120 g; flour: 1 cup = 140 g; wheat germ: 1/4 cup = 35 g; light brown sugar: 3/4 cup = 115 g; baking soda: 1/2 tsp; salt 1/2 tsp; oil: 1/2 cup = 120 ml; 1 egg; vanilla: 5 ml; raisins: 1/2 cup = 70 g; sunflower seeds roasted: 1/2 cup = 70 g.
