  1. These were good, but next time would omit or reduce the ginger, as we aren't huge fans of ginger.

  2. These were amazing! I left out the nuts, added a pinch of nutmeg, dried cherries , and chocolate chips. They disappeared very quickly at a party!

  3. These are AWESOME! I kept looking for spice cookies and all the recipes had 1/4t or 1/2t of spices and I knew that wasn't enough to enable me to REALLY taste the spices. I don't like a subtle hint of spices....I don't like to be slammed over the head with them, but I definitely want to taste them. I can definitely taste them very nicely in this cookie. I used dark brown sugar, and omitted the nuts as these are going to a party later & you never know about nut allergies. The only change I made was to use half whole wheat flour and half white flour. Thanks so much for sharing!

  4. Fabulous! I added a pinch of Nutmeg for a tad more holiday flavor and used Saigon Cinnamon for that WOW! factor. Thanks! LOVED the addition of Cloves, that was the attraction in the 1st place. THANKS! ;)

  5. These were excellent! I used dark brown sugar and I included walnuts. I thought ahead of time that they might end up too spicy, but they were really good. I've always been a bit disappointed about oatmeal cookie recipes, but this one is a keeper.
