Oatmeal Treats

"Another one from ye olde recipe box…this was in my mom’s handwriting, but I’m not sure where she got it from originally. The recipe called for "flour mix," which I assume to be self-rising flour. I haven’t made these myself but they sure look good, and pretty healthy too."

  1. Well, first of all I didn't have self-rising flour so I attempted this with a zaar substitute. All the substitutes call for 1/2 tsp salt. I hesitated but still decided to use the full amount of salt the recipe called for but I should have listened to my instincts. I had to double the recipe, adding no more salt in order to salvage it!

My most important characteristic is this: I am a child of God through the gracious work of Jesus Christ! I love to be with my family and friends. Interests? Writing, reading, cooking, dancing, teaching, splashing in puddles...I am an English teacher, wannabe children's author, and a bit of a health nut...and I can't stand high pitched squeaky noises.
