Oatmeal With Cardamom and Raisins

ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
- 1 3⁄4 cups water
- 1⁄2 - 1 cup raisins
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cardamom
directions
- Bring water and raisins to a boil. Add oats and boil for 1 minute, stirring often. Remove from heat, set aside and cover for 2-3 minutes. Add cardamom and mix well. Scoop portions into bowls. Drizzle with desired amount of honey and add desired amount of milk.

I love cardamom, but had never thought of putting it in my oatmeal. This is delicious! The amount of cardamom is just right. I made one change-instead of raisins, I used dried cranberries. Drizzled with blackberry honey and used fat-free half and half for an extra treat. Thanks for a great breakfast. Made for Spring 2009 PAC.
