Old Fashioned BBQ Sauce

"This is certainly a simple old fashioned recipe from the label of "Grandmas Molasses." It's the unsulfured original recipe molasses. Use to baste or marinate chicken, ribs, chops, burgers."

  1. Great taste like real Babecue sauce not this honey and brown sugar they sell now

  2. Thanks Ice Cool Kitty for posting this recipe! I bought a jar of Grandma's molasses yesterday because of the recipe on the back and made the sauce for a smoked pork butt! It was awesome! We used our own habenero powder instead of cayenne. I liked it so much I was going to post it but you saved me the work! Thanks again.

  3. Thank you Recipe Zaar for having this wonderful recipe for Grandma's Molasses Old Fashioned BBQ Sauce. It is the exact recipe printed on the back of some of the labels. It tastes just great. So happy to find it here to print out!! We increased the amount of cayenne considerably and also added a little bit of habanero sauce to this. It does make it spicy, but if you are going to be cooking with this, some of the heat mellows with cooking. We also added cider vinegar instead of regular vinegar!! We really like our BBQ sauce hot and were tired of paying over $5.00 for a bottle of less than terrific store bought sauce!!
