"I'm not sure where my family got this recipe but we've been making it for over 50 years. It's got egg in it so it's a very rich custard ice cream."

ingredients

³⁄₄ cup sugar
¹⁄₄ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon flour
2 cups milk
2 egg yolks
2 (12 ounce) cans evaporated milk
2 teaspoons vanilla

directions

In double boiler mix milk, salt, sugar, flour on med. heat 5 minute stir constantly.
Lightly beat yolks, temper with a little hot milk, add to double boiler, stir constantly for 2 minute.
Chill in fridge or freezer till cool, add vanilla and evaporated milk.
Follow ice cream freezer instructions.
