Old Homestead Chutney

"This recipe was passed down by my Mother; she made batches of it every year, using the apples from our orchard. i have been making it for the last 2 yrs and get several requests for jars of it. it is wonderful with cold meats and cheese and i always add it to my sandwiches."

  • Process the apples, raisins, garlic, and onions in a food processor until chopped fine.
  • Add the sugar, ginger, seasoning and vinegar and cook slowly stirring constantly until the mixture is the consistency of jam.
  • Put in sterilised jars.
