- 6 lbs apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 2 lbs seedless raisins
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lb onion, chopped
- 2 lbs brown sugar
- 1⁄4 ounce ground ginger
- 1⁄2 ounce salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cups cider vinegar
directions
- Process the apples, raisins, garlic, and onions in a food processor until chopped fine.
- Add the sugar, ginger, seasoning and vinegar and cook slowly stirring constantly until the mixture is the consistency of jam.
- Put in sterilised jars.
