"I found a cookbook that my mother in law Helen had. It is Better Homes and Gardens: So Good with Fruit and the date on the book is 1967. So I will be posting a bunch of recipes from the book so I don't lose them."

  • Combine sugar, 1 cup water, and lemon juice.
  • Stir till sugar is dissolved.
  • Add remaining water.
  • Serve over ice with lemon slices.

  1. This tasted so good tonight. I had the stove and crockpot going this afternoon/evening so the house got warm. Your 'old time lemonade' recipe really quenched my thirst. I used fresh lemons and lots of ice. You could used half the sugar in this recipe then make a simple syrup for people to add more sweetness if needed. I adopted this chef for the *Spring PAC 2008* game

I live in a small quiet town (you know the type...like Mayberry! :) I have a wonderful husband and have been married since October of 2004. We live with my mom and dad at the moment since we have a new addition to our family. Our baby boy Joseph was born March 22, 2007. But we are soon moving into our own place. Our favorite foods are fish, pasta, and vegetables of any kind. We are just a country cooking couple!
