I am married to a Cajun man and we have lived in Lafayette, La. for 39 years. The people here are known for their fantastic food. I have learned to cook it from my mother-in- law. I am a recently retired Cosmetologist/teacher/shop owner and also a Gospel Concert promoter. As you can see, I love to be busy and communicate with the public. Our children are all grown now and away from home. We have 2 sons and 1 daughter and 2 grand daughters. I use to hate tin pie plates(personal reasons) but am now over that LOL. My favorite local cookbook is "Talk About Good". It is all Cajun and Creole recipes from this area.
