  1. In Dutch oven brown meat. Drain.
  2. Brown onion and garlic. Add reserved meat back into Dutch oven.
  3. Add carrots, garbanzos, tomatoes, beef broth, water, wine, bay leaf, salt and pepper and basil.
  4. Boil. Then simmer 45 minutes, covered.
  5. After 45 minutes, add ditalini. Cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add peas and cook 10 more minutes. .
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, bread and salad.
