  • In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  • Stir in oil, buttermilk, and eggs.
  • Add water and stir until combined.
  • Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-38 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • Frost as desired.

  1. Does it get any easier than this? Easy, fast and homemade - a winner! I made mine in a large square tin (it took 36 minutes) This cake rises beautifully, is moist and morish. Thanks for posting such a great recipe!
