Directions

  1. Prepare the oranges by peeling then removing the pith.
  2. Segment the oranges.
  3. Trim the strawberries and then cut the strawberries ino halves.
  4. Combine the strawberries and oranges and place in the serving bowl and refrigerate until the last step.
  5. In a small pan, carefully heat the orange juice, strawberries and caster sugar so the sugar dissolves.
  6. Add the sorrel leaves and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Stir frequently.
  8. Once ready, sieve the strawberry syrup so that the syrup becomes smooth.
  9. You should have a pretty strawberry syrupy puree.
  10. Pour the syrup over the fruit salad and serve.
