Orange Brutus

"This is very similar to an Orange Julius. The recipe was clipped from our local newspaper many years ago, when there was massive media attention on finding the actual recipe for the original Orange Julius drink. This was a major contender, which soon gained its own popularity among those who preferred this blended drink over the actual Orange Julius drink."

  1. Very good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I couldn't find dream whip so I used cool whip instead. We all enjoyed this.

  2. Delicious and as close as it comes to an Orange Julius!!! I followed exactly as written, except only made half of the recipe. I then served it over ice, which is the major difference from orange julius, as they blend it with ice. Thanks for sharing Northwest!!! Made for potluck tag

  3. Love the name & loved the drink, even though, for us, it made just 2 very tall drinks! This has certainly made it into my keeper file! Thank you so much! [Tagged, made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in the current Pick-A-Chef]

  4. Delicious, fast and simple. If you enjoy creamy smooth orange goodness this is for you. I didn't have Dream Whip and replaced it with vanilla yogurt and had it for breakfast this morning, :D. Made for Photo Tag.

This site used to be awesome. It was at the top of its game when it was called Recipezaar, but that was many years ago. The site was purchased by Scripps and belly-flopped into mediocrity. A few of the faithful members remained, hoping to wait out the storm of corporate nonsense. But alas, it never got better and just continued on its terminal path to nothingness. So most of the loyal members have vanished and made homes at better recipe sites.
