  1. Nice breakfast warm-up drinkee for the first day back to school after CHRISTmas vacation. I liked the whisper of orange flavor from the rind (I only used about 1/4 tsp), but my kids didn't care for it at all, so I think next time I'd use some orange flavoring instead. DD added that she thought the cocoa left a "chalky" feeling in her mouth. Hmmm. I thought it was perfectly flavored other than needing a bit more sweetness to jump-start my day. Made for *Comfort Cafe* Snow Queen version, 2010.

  2. This was a very tasty cup of cocoa. I really enjoyed it. The cocoa was deep, dark and mysterious with a hint of orange and a glimmer of the warm vanilla, garnished with whipped cream and ground cinnamon. What a lovely treat, thanks so much for sharing.

  3. This is very good. I had to make it twice. I scaled the recipe down for one serving and followed the directions for cooking times. It was awful, way to strong. I started to rate and then realized it just wasn't fair. The second time I made it, I brought it to a boil, turned the heat off and added the milk and orange (forgot the vanilla the second time). It was much much better! If you scale the recipe down, do not boil for two minutes. It was way too strong. I just wish I would have had some whipped cream! Thank you for the lovely cup of cocoa littleturtle!

  4. How delightful! The light hint of orange is wonderful in this hot chocolate! Very easy to prepare. Once you make this, you will never again be satisfied with a powdered hot chocolate mix ; ) **Be sure to use fresh orange rind. For an adult evening by the fireside, try adding a touch of Triple Sec.

  5. The orange came through really nice. I did use the juice from the orange and then added water to make 1 1/2 cups. I used all the zest from the orange which I added along with the water to release the all the oils while cooking. Used 4 cups low fat milk and topped with low fat whipped cream. Garnished with an orange slice. This would be delish with some Grand Marnier. Thanks for posting!
