  • 2 cups flour
  • 12 cup heavy cream
  • 12 cup butter (no substitutes)
  • 14 teaspoon orange extract
  • 2 drops orange food coloring
  • powdered sugar (for dusting board)
  • Filling

  • 34 cup powdered sugar (more if needed)
  • 14 cup butter (no substitutes)
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • 2 drops orange food coloring
  • 14 teaspoon heavy cream (more if needed)

directions

  • Cream butter, add flour.
  • Stir in cream, orange extract, mix well, until dough holds together.
  • Roll dough out thinly on board dusted with powdered sugar.
  • Cut with 1 1/2 to 2-inch cookie cutter.
  • Bake at 400° for 8-9 minutes.
  • Cool completely on wire rack.
  • For filling: Combine all filling ingredients. Add more powdered sugar, or cream, as necessary to make spreadable filling.
  • Spread filling on cookies, top with another cookie.

  2. The idea of this cookie was good but when I made it the cookie its self has no flavor just tastes like dough,The filling just ran all over the cookie and onto the table.
