Orange Frosty

"This "smoothie" type drink also has a banana in it. If your kids like o.j., they'll like this. From Sue Gregg's cookbook, Lunches & Snacks. I don't usually fill the blender with ice cubes, just a couple of handfuls or so."

  1. Your recipe mades for a great tasting smoothie! I used a LARGE, frozen banana (no ice cubes) & had a very nice breakfast (& mid-morning) drink! Thanks for sharing! [Tagged, made & reviewed in New Zaar Stars tag game]

  2. great! I do not normally add in dry milk powder to drinks like this but it seemed to work fine, this was frothy and rich and oh so good, thanks for sharing Cheesey!

  3. I did half of it. I used around 4-6 ice cubes. It's a good start before breakfast when it's not ready like it was this morning :) Thanks Wi Cheesehead :) Made for Zaar Star Game

  5. This was fabulous! It made a wonderful breakfast. I used half the amount of milk powder (personal preference)and a little extra extract. It was so good, I drank two servings myself!

I am a Christian wife and mother of 3 kids. Since my DH's high cholesterol, we've been eating better. I never used to like cooking. Since eating better, I've liked learning and preparing new recipes. My kids haven't reconciled themselves to the new eating yet. I grind my own grain and make all my own breads.?Working 2 hours a day in the local high school lunch room.??I am homeschooling my high schooler.? ?Also found out 1 child has multiple food allergies (wheat, dairy, tomato, chocolate, etc) and another is gluten sensitive. So, we just started (July 09) eating gluten and dairy free. I've been busy with getting our house market ready, even though it's not the best time for that.?
